Forget 2020. Do you remember 2016?
2016 was my turning point. I was pregnant with my first child, and I felt profoundly saddened by the lack of empathy and quite frankly “do-good-ness” in the world.
There was a lot of crazy happening that year, and on top of being pregnant, as a survivor of rape, a lot of triggering conversations were bubbling to the surface of our national discourse. And, I was fed up.
